A private kitchen was included. We went to see Shigakengokoku Shrine and Longevity Institute nearby. A few steps away from Wagashidokoro Sawasan, where you can have lunch: )

We had a fantastic stay at the hotel. The twin room was fabulous, with two beds and two chairs by the window offering stunning views of the lit-up moat and castle at night. The onsen, located on the same floor, had fantastic views and was large and clean. We also enjoyed the private lounge area on that floor, where we could relax with a free drink. The staff were very friendly and several spoke English. We had dinner at the small teppanaki style restaurant, which had excellent food and service. The chef didn't speak English, but another staff member explained each course, making the experience more interesting.
None.

I recently stayed at the Castle Resort & Spa for a few days and it was an incredible experience. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, the facilities were top-notch with spacious rooms and convenient amenities like multiple outlets. The traditional Japanese robes and slippers provided added a special touch. The public spaces, especially the Japanese baths, were fantastic with stunning views of the castle and pristine pools. The library was a great place to relax with complimentary drinks. And the food.wow! The breakfast buffet had a delicious variety of Japanese and Western options, and the multi-course dinner was the best Japanese food I've ever had. The gift shop also had high-quality pottery items. excellent value and a highly recommended stay!
Couldn't recommend this hotel more.

This hotel is centrally located and just a short walk from the train station. It's perfect for exploring the scenic spots around and especially convenient for visiting Hikone Castle. The front desk staff went above and beyond to make my stay memorable, even recommending an early dinner due to a firework display and arranging a shuttle bus pick-up from the station. The attention to detail and personalized service really stood out.
No complaints, my stay was fantastic from start to finish.

Spent a nice and cozy Xmas time at a hotel that had a great view of the moat and castle. The twin room was absolutely fabulous and had a couple of chairs near the window where I could enjoy the views of the moat and the castle. The hotel onsen offered fantastic views and was quite large and clean. They had a private lounge area on the same floor as the onsen where I could enjoy a free drink. The staff members were really friendly and spoke English, which made it easier for me to communicate with them.
The dinner was slightly overpriced, but it was a set menu, so at least I knew the cost beforehand. I felt like the front desk staff pushed me into having an expensive meal, which was a bit uncomfortable. Although tourist hotspots tend to charge more than other areas, this dinner felt overpriced. However, the overall experience was good, and I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a great view of the castle and moat.

Located near a historical site, this resort is right next to a popular attraction, making it very convenient for guests. The room and bathroom are well-appointed, and the staff's excellent service far exceeded our expectations. The breakfast was delicious and varied, and the public spaces, such as the Japanese baths and library, were fabulous. We particularly enjoyed the lovely view of the moat and sakura trees from our room.
The price of the meals for children could be a bit expensive.

The hotel is an absolute gem, located right in front of a stunning castle. The attention to detail is evident in every aspect - from the comfortable rooms with super castle views to the amazing service provided by the warm and friendly staff. The basic amenities offered, including the hot springs with their breathtaking views of the castle, are simply outstanding. And let's not forget the delicious and varied breakfast buffet that caters to both western and traditional Japanese tastes.

The hotel is conveniently located near a popular tourist destination, making sightseeing very easy. the onsen at the hotel is amazing, providing a relaxing experience after a long day of work. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the complementary drink in the evening is a nice touch.
The rooms were a bit small and cramped, making it difficult to fully relax. , there was some noise from nearby rooms, which made sleeping a bit of a challenge.
